In The Company of Wolves
For the color focus theme, I came up with three ideas. One was going to be based on the color red, the second was going to be blue, the third one was going to be neutral colors like beige and light brown. I shot red and the neutral colors one on the same day and was planning on shooting blue over the weekend. I didn’t get a chance to though, and when I edited the neutral colors one, I hated it. So it’s going into my scraps folder for now. Maybe I’ll try to edit it again later. BUT, I did fall in love with red, which I decided to call In The Company of Wolves, after the Incubus song, because it reminds me of Little Red Riding Hood.
(Anyone here watches Once Upon A Time? I’m in love with Red/Ruby!)

I also made my very first speed edit video! I had to cut out some parts because the whole thing ended up being around 8 minutes long. Lemme know what you think!
(you can see how indecisive I get about color haha)
This image got me thinking about other fairytales and how interesting it would be to turn this into a series. I won’t share too much until I have solid ideas but I’m super excited to try it out!
The next theme is going to be underwater.
I’m terrified, to be honest. I picked this randomly. I mentioned last time that I wrote down a bunch of themes in small pieces of paper, and I put them in a tiny pouch. I just picked one, randomly, and that’s what I got. Coincidence? Fate? I don’t know, maybe this is the universe’s way of pushing me to keep trying underwater photography :p
Any tips would be much appreciated! Ahh wish me luck.

I love everything about this shot, the theme, the colors, the music all are grand.
This one is my most favorite shot of yours and the video you made is an awesome guide. If it was me I would have gotten a ready made rose back ground as a stock but you have worked very hard and have done a really Good job Amani (y) keep going.

Thank you Amina! ❤ I really appreciate that.
The thought of using a stock image never crossed my mind :p I think that's because I prefer using my own work. Also, I feel like if I'd used a stock image, it would've looked a little flat.
