Trail of Hope
I’m finally back from Malaysia! It was a wonderful trip and I’ve got a lot of pictures to show you guys.
But first, the picture for the 52 Week Project. I mentioned getting kicked out of the park for shooting in my last post, and I didn’t get to shoot extra pictures to expand the frame. I went in a few days later (more like snuck in), hid my camera in a bag and pretended to just walk around. The same security guy stopped me and said that I’m not allowed to take pictures. He didn’t see my camera or anything but I guess he recognized me. As soon as he drove away I went to the same spot I shot my picture in and took extra shots. It was a little difficult matching the angles because I didn’t have my tripod but I did it, yay.
The theme was artificial light, and I had a couple of ideas I wanted to shoot but between going out and spending time with family, I didn’t have much time to shoot, let alone edit.

A while back, I created an image called Trail of Life, and was planning on creating another one called Trail of Death, but never got around to it. When I was in Malaysia, I went to Daiso (a Japanese store that sells pretty much everything) and got a bunch of lights, and some glow sticks. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with all of that, but then I started brainstorming and thinking of what light means to me – hope. A friend once asked me what’s the one thing I wouldn’t give up, and I said hope. I want to be a better person, I want to be the kind of person that gives hope to others, or leave a “trail of hope”. And that’s how this picture came to be 🙂
And now, pictures from Malaysia!

Because I’m behind on the 52 Week Project, I decided that this week, I’ll pick two new themes and post two images together. Also, I’m challenging myself to make the two pictures tell the same story, kind of like a part 1/part 2 thing.
And the themes aaaare: phobia, and growth.
Well this is interesting. I did pick randomly (and didn’t cheat).
I hope you’re all having a lovely week! ❤
