The Sky of The Sky of a Tree Called Life
Started this blog post with mentioning how hectic the past few days have been, then realized I’ve been saying that way too much.
Instead, lemme tell you about the awesome event at Gulf Photo Plus wednesday night. They had a community exhibition for the winners of the Day & Night competition, and it was so much fun. I got to meet some awesome people and hang out with friends. The pictures that made it were just incredible and I was SO honored to be a part of it!

I wish I took more pictures but I was too busy talking to people haha – which is weird, considering how I’m a little socially awkward.
So last week’s theme was inspired by a poem. I got to go shooting a few days ago but didn’t get a chance to edit anything. Before deciding what to do, I was going through some of my favorite poems by Richard Siken and Buddy Wakefield. I ended up shooting something inspired by a Richard Siken poem, but that’s not the one I’m posting for the project (I haven’t finished editing it yet). Here’s what I did:

And the final image (9/52)

This week’s theme is (I miss the drum roll): wind.
I’m.. not sure how I feel about this haha.
One last thing – the opening of my solo exhibition is TOMORROW! aaaahhhh! I still can’t believe it. Expect a long blog post with lots and lots of pictures 😀
Check out my interview with The Art Blog (The National) here. Anna was super sweet and it was lovely talking to her!
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend ❤
